RTS Podcast 2026 EP14: How to Train on Your Worst Days - Motivation Is A Lie
Nobody talks about the workouts that almost don’t happen. The ones after a long day at work, when you’re mentally drained, physically tired, and the last thing you want to do is train. No highlight reel, no music, no perfect conditions. Just you deciding whether or not to show up. Motivation is unreliable. That’s why it can’t be your system. You don’t need a better plan. You need fewer negotiations with yourself. The goal isn’t to feel good. The goal is to follow through. Anyone can train when it’s easy. Consistency is built when it’s not. head to www.thefeed.com to get your Pillar Supplies and checkout with code: REALTRI15

2026 IRONMAN Oceanside 70.3 Race Week - The best Oceanside EVER? YES
#ironmantriathlon #oceanside #triathlete Well my friends, there is a lot to be proud of. First off, getting to these races healthy is obviously harder than it looks. Even when you live the lifestyle, have all the options for healing and recover, shit happens. More than anything, the best part about this event is WHO we were able to spend time with. Our RTS Family came out in force, Jackson Laundry, Marc Dubrick, Lisa Bechares, David Reynolds and Annie Fuller came with friends and family to make this event special. We had some of our coached athletes, sponsor partners and overall wouldn't have been able to make this even so special without all their support. Please enjoy this video and please help support RTS by subscribing and sharing with your friend. Edited by Starr Films

The Real Triathlon Podcast is back fresh off of Oceanside 70.3. Jackson, Nick, Garrick and guest Marc “The Shark” Dubrick break down the race: stingray drama, messy in-water starts, the new 20m draft dynamics, a brutal and technical bike course and fogged visors, plus T1 tactics and who rode/sprinted well. They also trade race-day war stories, grinds-my-gears rants, and training/season plans – raw, funny, and unfiltered. Perfect if you want a race recap with insider details and hot takes. RTS Podcast 2026 EP11: Ben Kanute on Power Myths, Race Chaos & Why Pros Need to Stop Making Excuses
his week on The Real Triathlon Podcast, the crew is joined by Ben Kanute fresh off a 2nd place finish at IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas Little Elm, a race defined by a shortened swim, brutal winds, and plenty of chaos. Ben dives into what it actually felt like racing in those conditions, how time-trial starts change the dynamic of a race, and why pros need to rethink how they talk about performance. The conversation gets deep into: The reality of bike power vs speed (and why chasing watts might be holding you back) How aero, efficiency, and race execution matter more than big numbers The danger of “if-then excuses” in race recaps Bike safety, race logistics, and the risks athletes face on open roads Plus, things get weird (as always) with: Wind riding excuses vs bike handling reality IV drips during races (??) Probiotic sodas, hot tub etiquette, and drive-thru patience And a classic Pass or Smash segment It’s equal parts high-level performance insight and absolute chaos with one of the most experienced athletes in the sport.
