Triathlon coaching FAQ

Common questions from athletes considering working with a triathlon coach.

What does a triathlon coach actually do?

Designs and manages your training across swim, bike, and run. Adjusts as your fitness and life evolve. Handles race strategy, nutrition planning, recovery guidance, and accountability.

Do I need experience to work with a coach?

No. We coach first-timers through elites. What matters is that you're serious about your goal and willing to communicate.

How is this different from following a plan?

A plan can't adapt. A coach responds to what's happening — adjusting load, pacing, and structure in real time. You get accountability and strategy, not just workouts.

How many hours per week?

Sprint/Olympic: 6–10 hours. 70.3: 8–13 hours. Ironman: 10–16 hours at peak. We work within your actual time.
